<bet>

This tag defines a bet. It is a child of the tag <strategy> that can contain multiple <bet> tags. At least one <bet> tag must be present in a tag <strategy>. Every bet is identified by the index attribute. When the bet with index 1 is placed a new trade is created containing this bet. All the other eventual bets placed will be included in this trade.

ATTRIBUTES
index (integer)The index of the bet. Used for referring this bet from other bets. If not specified the default value is 1.
bid_type (b|l|*)The type of the bet.
  • b = Back type
  • l = Lay type
  • * = Jolly type, the type depends on the sign of the size of the bet. If the sign is positive then the bet is back type, if it is negative the bet is lay type. Use it when the strategy involves the variable @edge_size.
persistence (lapse | persist | market_on_close | input_back | input_lay | entry_persistence | exit_persistence)Defines the behaviour of the bet when the event goes in play:
  • lapse = the unmatched bet will be voided
  • persist = if the market allows in play exchange the unmatched bet will mantained in play, otherwise the bet will be voided
  • market_on_close = the bet will be matched by Betfair using the SP (starting price)
  • input_back = the persistence value selected by the user in the Back Betting Frame
  • input_lay = the persistence value selected by the user in the Lay Betting Frame
  • entry_persistence = the persistence value selected by the user in the Configuration Frame of the strategy, blade entry_bet_price_criteria
  • exit_persistence = the persistence value selected by the user in the Configuration Frame of the strategy, blade exit_bet_price_criteria
epure_prices (y|n)Specifies if the functions that make computation on stakes should exclude stakes of bets placed by the strategy itself. It is a good practice to activate with "y" this option, in strategies that work on markets with a very low amount of stakes.
